Our Story

Yohouzz was born from a simple, frustrating truth: the details that matter most are the ones you discover after you've moved in.

A Letter from Our Founder

My name is Woody Welch, and I founded Yohouzz after my own dream home purchase turned into a costly lesson. Like any diligent buyer, I did everything by the book: I got a professional inspection, did multiple walk-throughs, and asked all the right questions. On paper, everything looked perfect.

The reality, however, set in shortly after we moved in. We were hit with thousands of dollars in unexpected repairs that no inspection had caught. When I reached out to the realtors and their agencies, the response was a legal shrug—the house was sold "as is," and we had little recourse.

To add to the frustration, we discovered our new backyard came with a soundtrack: the neighbor's dog, which barked incessantly whenever we tried to enjoy our new space. It was a small detail, but one that deeply affected our quality of life—and something impossible to know from a few scheduled visits. Eight years later, that same dog is still barking.

That experience convinced me that homebuyers deserved better. We needed a way to share the real story behind a property—the good, the bad, and the noisy. We needed to level the playing field.

That's why I created Yohouzz: a community where buyers can share honest, unfiltered feedback to help others see beyond the listing photos and make truly informed decisions. This is about transparency, community, and empowering you in one of the biggest decisions of your life.
